Sturt Wins Ray Sutton Shield Grand Final

The Sturt Ray Sutton Shield team had a day to remember on Sunday 11th November with a well earned victory over Northern Districts at Price Memorial Oval. After winning the toss the Sturt team had no hesitation in batting and compiled 7 for 145 at the end of their 40 overs. Captain Ethan Trewartha top scored with 32 off 55 balls. Unfortunately for Northern Districts they lost their first wicket on the first ball of the innings due to a run out ably completed by Sturt wicket keeper Harry Willis. Northern Districts were eventually bowled out for 108 after 30 overs. The wickets were evenly shared amongst the bowlers with Sturt’s fielding proving the difference between the 2 sides with 4 run outs completed. Congratulations to all the players who participated in the games this season.
