The Ray Sutton team provided the highlight of the weekend with opening bat Shane Raphael scoring 101 off 123 balls ensuring Sturt chased down West Torrens score of 146. The Ray Sutton team remains undefeated after 3 Rounds. In the Women’s 1st grade the reigning premiers West Torrens were too good for Sturt. Rhianna Peate top scored for the Blues with 33. The Women’s 2nd grade team recorded another win in the 20/20 competition defeating Kensington by 8 runs. Beth Worthley had another great all round game scoring 19 runs, taking 2 wickets and completing a run out. Highlights in the Men’s senior grades were the fantastic innings of Sam Teakle in the 3rd grade and Daljeet Singh in the 4th grade. Sam scoring 74 and Daljeet 71 on what could be best described as under prepared wickets. These innings set up the victories for the 3rd and 4th grade teams. In other results the 1st grade won a 20/20 against Port Adelaide which secured points in the One Day and Two Day competitions! The 2nd Grade Men struggled with bat and ball losing against Port and the Junior teams split the results against Glenelg with both Under 16 teams victorious and the under 14 Reds and Whites losing close games.
